Subject: [xtm-wg] MOTION ADOPTED: Charter revision - resignation
This motion has been adopted unanimously. ============================================================ MOTION: Alter the text in section 3.5.6 of the TopicMaps.Org charter to read: Participating Members may resign from TopicMaps.Org at any time. Resignations shall be in writing addressed to the chair or via electronic mail to the Participating Member mailing list. Participating Members may choose to become Advisory Members (see 2.3) at the time of their resignation, with no additional vote required on the part of the remaining Participating Members. ======================== REASONING: It's never been clear how to handle resignations. This seeks to define the process needed to do so and the actions required by the participating members. ======================== This motion requires a 2/3 majority to pass. Ten (10) "YES" votes are required for this motion to pass.
