And this is where Murray, I, and Nikita (at least) disagree with you.
So as Nikita so trenchantly puts it, "Where is the 'we'"? 

Montreal isn't far away. From the standpoint of the topic map community
of interest, I don't see what the rush is. As Murray says, we need
stability.

P.S. I'd start a thread that tried to scope the work effort for what
seems so innocent to Lars -- "simple big fixes" -- but I don't have my
asbestos underwear on today. It's 90 degrees F in Philly... Actually,
absent a process, I don't have the time to invest in it, either.
