Hi everyone,

I'm just getting started in taxonomy and topic maps. I have a Masters
degree in Process Improvement and have been a member of American Society
of Quality (http://www.asq.org) since 1991.  I initially got involved
with documentation when I was in the US Air Force and later working as a
consultant and was told to improve a major project's documentation
process (basically making a silk purse out of a pig's ear). That started
my interest in doing a better job of documentation.

Since then I have been a researcher and lurker in finding and getting
quicker answers to businesses via better documentation. I converted to
Linux about 2 years ago and have considered the documentation good, but
lasking in classification.  Hence, I've begun an endeavor at my web site
(http://www.linuxloc.com) but have been delayed as I learn more about
this subject matter and skill set.

Being a very process orientated person and with a maintenance
background, the computer industry could benefit from a better
documentation system which I hope to put together.
