Mark Crawford has already responded to this point in detail, but I
just wanted to emphasize that we would not have touched this if we
hadn't become aware that the form used in CD1 was in direct
conflict with RFC 3121 (we were missing the two fields now
occupied by "schema:xsd").  So we had no choice about making a
significant change here.
