We've agreed on a slightly different conclusion, unless perhaps it was changed during the meeting that I missed. Our final proposal suggested that *-Use-* be delivered OOTB as either *-Placebo-* or *-Standard-* and not *-Stock-*. An early code list task group meeting discussion concluded that validation was not to interfere for those implementers/users who did not care about values OOTB and that a conscious effort was required to engage *-Stock-* values. Of course it is equally valid to decide that OOTB works with *-Stock-* and would require the implementer/user to consciously turn value validation off by engaging *-Placebo-*. It is obvious that some of the group intuitively felt that OOTB value checking was on and others felt that value checking was off. From a business or usability perspective I can go either way and don't have a preference, and it should be a simple change to Chee-Kai's program to pick one or the other for the *-Use-* OOTB. Had the proposal from the group been changed during the last meeting? ....................... Ken p.s. my trip to Oslo has been postponed to November (possibly precluding my trip to San Francisco, but that remains to be seen); as a result I am planning now to make it to Tuesday's LCSC teleconference, but it will be my last teleconference until San Francisco. -- Next public US delivery: 3-day XSLT/2-day XSL-FO 2003-10-13 Next public European delivery: 3-day XSLT/2-day XSL-FO 2003-11-??
