This Location response header is not the same as what the server at the redirect URL is returning.

How can you be sure? All my tests suggest that it is.

Anyway, I found the problem - our resource proxy was forwarding the Host: request header from the browser to proxy request, which made your webserver think it was servicing a request to portalstandards.oracle.com (we proxy redirects to absolute URLs so that cookies are maintained). I have fixed our resource proxy so that it sets the Host request header appropriately. The result is now available on portalstandards.oracle.com and the redirect portlet works like you would expect.

Well first get the SSL configuration working. When I point a browser to https://wsrp.avitek.com:7002/producer/rewrite/testSecure.gif, I get:

Thanks for the suggestion, but this is not very helpful.

What would be helpful? My guess is that the requests are reaching your webserver, but because they are not getting past your security system, they are not being logged. I could be wrong though! If we can't get a browser displaying this image directly, what hope have we got of our Portal resource proxy retrieving it? Client certificates shouldn't come in to it unless you have explicitly configured your application to only accept requests from certain principals.
