Subject: Re: [soa-rm] Architectural Scope of Reference Model
I have held off commenting on the term advertising simply because I am biased, due to my long involvement with the practice of advertising as an art director and designer. I convinced myself that this different context in some way disqualified my understanding of the term due to my involvement in the commercial context. However, having thought about it more, I think I should go ahead and say I have two point in relation to this term. 1. The definition of Advertising as a commercial practice as I understood it has always been: Communication of messages with the intent of obtaining favorable consideration for the party seeking such consideration. 2. I think the term Publication is more accurate since that the Service Provider is actually doing: providing public information about the availability of the service.
