Subject: RE: [oiic-formation-discuss] Group effort - how we talk.

Hi Matthew,

To answer at least part of your question, non-OASIS members and OASIS members who do not become members of the Technical Committee can contribute to the TC via the comment list.

I'm glad Mary helped to clear up this issue!

To clarify I was using the google docs (non-TC/non-site) version prior to keep track of and form some basic ideals for the ODF conformance testing (ODF acid test) and this part of the thread originated form switching over and Rob suggesting we not go ahead, followed by going ahead so we don't lose momentum. Additionally the idea of what things to keep track of on an ODF acid test has a lot of discussion ahead of it, and it's fresh on everyone's minds.

End summary: The acid doc is hosted on the site that Sam helped to create, and I would like to contribute it to the TC when the charter is completed.

I was under the impression that we can contribute/be contributing members/still hold rights to the things we contribute to the TC without paying. We just won't be "participating" members (I'm assuming that means meetings and other responsibilities).

Please correct me if I am wrong/way wrong (never know which one it is).

Best Regards,
Matthew B. Reingold

Thanks for the clarification.

Ditto

(Sliding sideways) Or referenced in the TC list of references :-)

Ok we'll handle this when the time comes, depending whether there is sufficient momentum for this to stand on its own. In the mean time, to keep these contributions 'clean' people wanting to write to the acid site should first agree to the feedback license (assuming this is the most appropriate for the purpose) as I just have.
